ST. JOHN’S, Antigua (January 23, 2023) –Governor General Sir Rodney Williams, acting on the advice of Prime Minister Gaston Browne, today swore in 11 members to the Upper House. The senators took the oaths of Office, Allegiance and Secrecy.

The ceremony at Government House also swore in, from amongst the senators, one Minister of State and three Parliamentary Secretaries.

The appointments are:

Samantha Marshall
Minister of State in the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Social Transformation and the Environment with responsibility for Social Transformation

Alincia Williams-Grant

Cheryl Mary-Claire Hurst

Shenella Govia
Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Creative Industries and Sport

Clement Antonio
Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Housing, Works, Land and Urban Renewal

Colin O’Neal Browne

Caleb Gardiner

Rawdon Turner
